Strawberry & the Movies [January 2011]
Hi! After the break the back Dicembrino column dedicated to the cinema and film. I
many films that I want to talk-vacation, cold, my laziness and the emergence of digital technology in my life have heightened my love for film-but not to make this post a papyrus of biblical proportions, I decided to dwell only on some of them, trying to be brief ...
The first, could not miss, is What a beautiful day of Checco Zalone .
Granted, the premise that I have done, it seemed I had only seen masterpieces by Oscar and, yes, this movie is not one of those who will be remembered in the annals of film history., but I could not miss this film.
In fact I am surprised too. I've never been a lover of comic films e men che meno dei film nati in seguito all’esplosione di un fenomeno made in Zelig. The story, as is normal it is, is not much to Checco and serves as a support to express themselves 360 °. This time is an Apulian Checco emigrated to Milan for many years with his mother perpetual (classic) and his father set the Army cook with mussels (another classic and a great big Rocco Papaleo), and a dream: to become a policeman . You own policeman, like his uncle when Capobianco seized Trick & Track had a really nice New Year ... The Praise
but does not want him and, thanks to help from above (the recommendation of the local priest to the bishop of Milan alias Tulio Solenghi ) man reinvents itself of the security of the Cathedral. But the international threat looms ...
Luca Medici (Checco Zalone real name) presents an image exaggerated, hilarious and completely alienating himself and the world around him showed, however, at the same time, a good adherence to reality: Recommendation omnipresent flattery; work symbol of being "fixed", a church with her immorality, and easygoing comodona; the hypocrisy of all of Italy. The grotesque representation of Puglia, then, its characteristics, its virtues and its faults, is irresistible. For those like me Puglia is difficult not to look at those scenes and over-sweetened without seeing pictures of the personal history: the holidays with thousands of relatives who seem endless, dinners and lunches with plenty to eat and my mother or grandmother that fill your plate to overflowing, the ways to communicate with each other, always a bit abrupt but never cold or indifferent ...
Checco is the peasant who like it because it is too absurd to be true! I recommend this film to those who want to do two hours of carefree laughter Checks ... Keep it up!
for the "Digital mon amour", as I said this months I have seen many movies: Dangerous Liaisons (NB missed a classic!), Kissing Jessica Steiner , In Good Company, The past is a foreign land , etc. .. but between these there is one that has impressed me, especially since it is a rediscovering my or my best to think again, because when it came out a few years ago I took it lightly not even consider and I did badly because I found a beautiful film (although a bit sad). The film in question is Into the Wild - In the wilderness .
I am struck by how Penn was able to make not only the veracity of the story itself, but, above all, the deep love of life and the great desire for freedom that Christopher had. Throughout the film you can breathe this desire to go beyond the everyday life that sticks to small material things, the desire for the infinite, of communion with nature and with the most genuine human being and the world. Far from being portrayed as a martyr, Emile Hirsch, immerse yourself in the perfect enough to look like the real protagonist in most parts of the film depicts a boy with a mind enlightened by the great love of life that would bend to a life that he felt did not belong. Through the use of flashbacks discover what are the reasons for his illness and the family and personal reasons that made a courageous choice, borderline, oblivious of what the consequences would be. At the end of his journey, in every sense, Christopher understood how precious freedom, but above all to share with fellow human beings. This is the secret of happiness. "Happiness only real When shared". The film, adapted from Jon Krakauer's book "In the lands extreme", he got a good reception from critics and the press praised the director of Penn for the relief dato alla bellezza dei paesaggi, un pò i co-protagonisti di questa storia.
I love Disney movies, I'm a fan since time immemorial and I believe millions of people, and Toy Story on, the collaboration with Pixar has always filled me with joy because it has the meaning of high quality and very enjoyable. We will not say anything else, with this kind of film there is only one thing to do: Sit comfortably on the couch, start the movie and enjoy them from start to finish!
